We are currently organizing our booth for Sounds of Class at UTD on Saturday 9/25. The event runs from 5 to 9 and we would love for you to come out and help us help community kids think science. Each year we run a super-fun booth with an engineering or science related activity – not only is it a great way to give back to your community but it is a great way to meet people in the society.

Want to help set up? Show up at 4:00pm and get in on the action!

Let us know below if you are interested in helping out so we can get you a SOC shirt, or just show up. Wear your SWE shirt if you have one!

This event is a ton of fun – see you there!

First Meeting of the Year!

We held a panel with a great group of professionals from Cisco and Texas Instruments. There were lots of questions asked, pizza eaten and prizes were won. Thanks to everyone that came out for our first meeting, it was great to see so many new faces!

Our next meeting will be September 16th at 8:30 in ECSS 2.305. We’re hoping to have our t-shirts available for sale, thanks for the KISS design from our PR Chair, Marissa. This will be our first fund raiser for the year – let’s go ladies!
